Overview
The LAMBDA Thermal Conductivity Meter is a compact and user-friendly instrument for accurate determination of thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and specific heat capacity in liquids, gels and powders. Based on the transient hot-wire (THW) method according to ASTM D7896-19, it delivers fast and reliable measurements across a wide temperature range for both laboratory and field applications.
Fast and accurate thermal conductivity analysis
LAMBDA is designed for rapid characterization of thermal properties in a wide variety of sample types, including heat transfer fluids, immersion cooling liquids, lubricants, gels, and nanoparticle dispersions. The transient hot-wire measurement principle minimizes the influence of convection, enabling highly repeatable and accurate results even for challenging fluid samples.
Only a small sample volume is required, allowing efficient testing during research, product development, quality control, and routine laboratory analysis. Measurements are performed automatically within short intervals, providing thermal conductivity data together with temperature information and estimated values for thermal diffusivity and specific heat capacity.
The instrument can be operated as a standalone system or connected to a PC via USB or RS-232 for automated measurement, data recording, and temperature control. Its robust stainless-steel sensor and broad operating range make LAMBDA suitable for both laboratory environments and on-site investigations.
